Welcome to Called to Brazil
We were deeply blessed by the opportunity to see and feel God at work at Lar Colmeia (COL) in October. We are so thankful for all the financial and prayer support our family and friends gave us. It was an a great honor to serve our Lord by weeding an acre of lawn (most of it on a very steep hill), tearing up and replacing portions of the brick road, getting the new COL website up and running, teaching ESL and recorders, designing and building new benches for the gazebo and many other general maintenance projects. Yet every member of the Called To Brazil team would agree that one of the hardest things of the trip was saying final goodbyes to the many children who captured our hearts. During our service we were repeatedly rewarded with smiles and interaction with the nearly 90 children at Lar Colmeia who have been rescued from the horror of their past. Lar Colmeia is a light that illuminates the way to a Christ-centered future. But as with much of God's work, Satan creates challenges. Please pray for God to open doors in the area of governmental challenges that Lar Colmeia is facing and that the Holy Spirit will help the children drown out the voice of their past and allow them to dream of things only God could place on their hearts. Christmas is around the corner. It is the day we celebrate the birth of the One who came to rescue us. Jesus said that YOU are the light of the world! Let your light SHINE!! (Matt 5:14 & 16)
